This photograph is amazing. It just blows my mind that something so tiny and fragile can be photographed. The texture of the snowflake is something to be marveled at. You just want to reach out and touch it without breaking it. The background around the snowflake is wonderful as well. The blue and white mix together perfectly to form a gorgeous setting. All though I have seen pictures similiar to this, the way the photographer captured the moment perfectly makes it unique. There is something that is bothering me as well, that would be the emptiness in the upper right hand area. Overall, It must of been very hard and strenuous to get the pic at the exact right moment. Hats off to *AljoschaThielen!
What a beautiful photograph! The detail is definitely the best part about this piece. I love that you can see every facet of the snowflake in such striking detail. I think the focus is very well done - the rest of the piece is still 'there' but your eyes are lead to the main event. The only thing I can really critique about this picture is that I feel there is a lot of blank space on the upper right, and that it's a little too 'centred', however, I'm not a professional so I feel silly even saying that. Added to faves - I love this photograph!
