New Hope

Its a great photo and as most every has mentioned it does look like a painting, but as you have requested a critique I must say my one gripe is the hot spot of the in focus flower. You can see that there is some texture there; it would be nice if you could bring that out a little more. On to the deviation ratings... vision is a solid five, you were going for a nice shot of some flowers (or so it seems) and you captured that. Originality is going to have to be a four. I have seen so many photos of flowers and have taken plenty myself so I wouldn't call this original. What saves it though is the painterly effect that has been captured. Although I don't know if it was done in post (probably) it's well done nonetheless. Technique will also have to be a four, this time because of the my hot spot gripe as mentioned above. Perhaps the detail of the petals is not obtainable with the painting effect or maybe you decided it looked better that way, I don't know, but I would have liked to have seen that extra detail. Impact will have to be a 4.5. I think the painting look is what hold this photo together giving it a dreamy look. If it were just a photo of flowers in a field it would be easily forgettable.
