One year long

Description

I have been taking pictures for almost exactly one year and I'm proud to finally finish my "one year project". The biggest problem was, of course, to wait and to take pictures of every season. In this manner "waiting" clearly means to be waiting over three months to be able to take another picture, but it also means to wait for the perfect day and the perfect weather. And after about a month of rain I can say for sure that this can be more frustrating than you might think. Anyway, all in all taking these pictures was a lot of fun and I hope you like it.

I like the intention of this piece and certainly, it does take a lot of dedication to produce something like this, having to set up at the right angle and timing is very time consuming and can be very challenging.

This concept has been explored by other artists in other mediums such as <img class="avatar" src="a.deviantart.net/avatars/a/l/a…" alt=":iconalexiuss:" title="alexiuss" />'s [link]
It's a nice concept, that can't be denied, but it definitely has been done before.
The blending between the four seasons could be a bit smoother, the Winter-Spring gradient is very good but I would have liked the other seasons to have a bit more blending in terms of colour or, for there to be no blending at all; sharp definitions would be very striking however, it would be a lot harder to match the different parts together.
The colour and exposure in each part seems to be quite different and this is a little jarring, perhaps tone the saturation down a bit in post processing so that it's not quite as harsh.
I do like the different primary colours though, they are very nice and their symbolism is very pleasant so I am torn between wanting to keep the colours as they are and wanting to tone them down.

The more I look at this photograph, the more I like it. It is very clear in its message, leaving the view with no doubts about the meaning.
Overall, nice work, keep it up <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>
